Research Scientist - Department of Cancer Biology and Genetics (Croce Lab)
Areas of Expertise
- Multi-omics data analyses.
- ncRNAs (e.g., miRNAs, lncRNAs), RNA modifications (e.g., RNA editing), and Human Endogenous Retroviruses (HERVs) as gene regulatory systems.
- Non-invasive cancer biomarker discovery, with special emphasis on lung cancer and sarcomas.
- Development of free bioinformatics and cloud-based resources for RNA biology and biomedical applications.
My research focuses on multi-omics data analyses, investigating the role of ncRNAs (e.g., miRNA), RNA modifications, and HERVs in both cancer and normal tissues. I also aim to discover non-invasive cancer biomarkers and develop computational tools and databases to advance RNA biology research.
