Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Our lab explores the interactions between wild-type and dinucleotide-enriched viral RNA with host proteins, uncovering new insights into antiviral immune responses. Our work focuses on the development of live dinucleotide-enriched virus vaccines and oncolytic viruses, aiming to harness these engineered viruses for therapeutic applications. Additionally, we investigate flavivirus pathogenesis, including non-vector transmission and virus interactions with pregnant hosts and fetuses, providing critical knowledge for understanding and combating emerging infectious diseases.
