Mission Statement

The Center for RNA Biology is a cross-college interdisciplinary center that was formed to facilitate and promote state-of-the-art RNA-related basic and translational research. Through collaborations, education, and outreach, the CRB will continue to promote RNA science at Ohio State and throughout the Midwest to address major societal challenges.

Members and Activities

The Center for RNA Biology is the home to 45 labs spanning 5 colleges and encompassing a broad range of RNA-related research.

The Center facilitates a monthly seminar series, held on the second Tuesday of the month during the school year, that hosts world-renowned speakers from around the country to talk about their scope of work in the RNA field. The center also hosts an Annual Symposium together with the NIH Cellular, Molecular and Biochemical Sciences T32 training grant and the Schoenberg Lectureship in partnership with Science Sundays.

The Center runs a competitive Graduate Fellowship Program, a Summer Undergraduate Research Program, and is supported by a Student Organization.
