This summer program provides students that are interested in graduate studies in the Biomedical sciences with an opportunity to perform original lab research and work with a faculty member from a large interdisciplinary group of researchers addressing fundamental, unanswered questions in RNA biology.
Center for RNA Biology Summer Undergraduate Program
Official Program Dates: May 30th through July 28th, 2017

Laboratory safety training and laboratory procedure workshops
Full-time research activities
Training in scientific writing and communication
- Work with a faculty mentor from the center
- Earn a $5,250 stipend for the 9-week session
- Meal Allowance
- University housing provided
Program Eligibility Requirements:
- 3.5 or better G.P.A.
- Interest in pursuing a PhD in RNA biology
- Students in junior or senior standing
Our program is run in coordination with the REU program in Molecular Biology sponsored by The National Science Foundation. Students interested in the RNA Summer Undergraduate Program should indicate that in their personal statement, and may select faculty from the RNA center faculty list found here.
